BRANDED CONTENT · SAUDI ARABIA

Branded content that earns the watch time.

Branded content production for Saudi enterprises, government entities, and international brands operating in-Kingdom. Native editorial video, sponsored series, platform-first branded formats, and long-form brand documentary — designed to earn attention on the feed instead of buying it in front of an ad. Bilingual, produced end-to-end, and shaped for the platforms Saudi audiences actually watch on.

WHAT WE PRODUCE

Six branded content formats, one production house.

Branded content is a spectrum — from a 60-second native social piece to a full sponsored documentary series. Different formats serve different brand goals; we produce all six under one production pipeline so a content calendar mixes them without vendor-switching.

/ 01

Native editorial video (60-90s)

The short-form branded content that earns time on the feed — story-first, brand visible but not shouting. Written for platform-native watching, not TVC watching. Sits alongside creator content in the feed and rewards the algorithm.

  • Story-first script development
  • 9:16 vertical + 1:1 square delivery
  • Native pacing (not TVC pacing)
  • Bilingual editorial (AR + EN)
/ 02

Sponsored editorial series

Multi-episode branded programming — how-to series, expert-explainer series, behind-the-scenes series, sector-specific editorial. Each episode designed to stand alone AND build to the season narrative. The format that turns one brand campaign into a quarter of content.

  • 5-10 episode series arcs
  • Standalone + season-narrative design
  • Host / expert / talent casting
  • Cross-platform release strategy
/ 03

Branded documentary + long-form

Long-form branded documentary work — corporate anniversary films, founder-story documentaries, industry-shift narratives, national-day-linked programming. Editorial-grade craft with brand context that doesn't undercut the storytelling.

  • 10-30 minute documentary form
  • Editorial-grade craft
  • Archival integration + interviews
  • Bilingual voice-over + subtitles
/ 04

Creator + host-led branded formats

Creator-fronted branded content — a recurring host, an expert-interviewer, or a talent-forward format that gives your brand a face. Different economics from anonymous ad content; higher trust, higher engagement, longer half-life.

  • Host / creator casting + development
  • Recurring-format design
  • Creator-side + brand-side approvals
  • Series-arc + episode-arc balance
/ 05

Platform-native branded formats

Content designed for a specific platform's grammar — TikTok-native branded short-form, LinkedIn thought-leadership series, Instagram Reels episodic, YouTube long-form. Not the same video re-cut for each platform — designed differently per platform from concept.

  • TikTok-native branded shorts
  • LinkedIn video-editorial
  • Instagram Reels episodic
  • YouTube long-form + Shorts
/ 06

Editorial partnerships + co-branded content

Content produced with a media partner, an editorial outlet, or a category expert — where the credibility comes from the co-brand and Darb delivers the production. Handled as full production execution inside the partner's editorial standards.

  • Media-partner co-production
  • Editorial-standard compliance
  • Multi-brand approval workflow
  • Partner-branded delivery
WHY DARB

Why branded content belongs at a production house.

Three reasons the branded content is stronger when it lives inside a full production house — not a creative agency that outsources every shoot.

/ 01

Editorial pace, not ad-agency pace

Ad agencies write branded content the same way they write TVCs — brand-first, message-first, story-second. That's why so much branded content doesn't earn the watch. We come at it from the production-house side: story-first, brand contextual, craft driving the piece. The result actually holds attention.

/ 02

Bilingual by design, not by translation

Branded content lives on the feed where Arabic and English audiences intermix. Every piece is written and edited in both languages in parallel from concept — not translated after the fact. Both cuts read native to their audience, because they were shaped for that audience from the first word.

/ 03

One production, a quarter of content

A branded content programme with proper series structure produces months of content from one production window — episodes, cutdowns, teaser reels, quote cards, behind-the-scenes clips. That's what turns a one-off campaign into a content engine your marketing team runs against for a quarter, not a week.

WHO WE PRODUCE FOR

Branded content for every Saudi brand category.

Whichever brand category — the pipeline is the same, only the editorial angle and platform mix change per engagement.

Banking + financial services

Educational branded content on financial literacy, product explainers, expert-led series, and thought-leadership programming. Regulatory-aware editorial that satisfies compliance without draining the storytelling.

Telecom + technology

Product-launch branded content, use-case editorial series, and platform-first branded formats. Faster editorial pace, technology-context fluency, and cross-platform release optimisation.

Energy + industrial + mining

Long-form branded documentary and editorial content on sector transformation, project milestones, and safety/community programmes. Editorial gravitas for enterprise brands that need to be taken seriously.

FMCG + retail + F&B

Feed-native branded content, creator collaborations, and platform-specific programming. Shorter cycle-time, higher volume, and platform-metric-optimised production.

Government + public-sector programmes

Sector-summit branded content, public-communications editorial, and government-linked programming. Bilingual editorial and archive-grade delivery from day one.

Real estate + hospitality developers

Long-form branded documentary on project vision, community narrative, and lifestyle programming. The kind of content that runs on IR-day, at the ribbon-cutting, and on the sales website — from one production.

HOW IT WORKS

From editorial angle to live series.

Branded content works when the editorial spine is locked before the first shoot. Here's how a programme moves from brief to live.

/ 01

Brief + editorial workshop

90-minute workshop with your marketing team — brand objective, audience, editorial angle, platform mix, publishing cadence. Output: signed editorial treatment plus a series-arc outline if the brief is multi-episode.

/ 02

Script + episode structure

Full scripts in AR + EN for the first episodes, plus a structure document for the whole series. This is where the story is shaped. Approved before pre-production spends a day on casting or scouting.

/ 03

Talent + host + location

Host or creator casting (if series has a face), expert-interviewee sourcing, and location scouting. All approved with you before shoot planning locks.

/ 04

Production days

Shoot days aligned to the release calendar — often batched (shoot 5 episodes in one production window) rather than one-episode-per-shoot. More economical, tighter narrative consistency.

/ 05

Post + platform-native cuts

Edit, colour, motion, sound design, VO. Each episode delivered in the primary format plus platform-native cuts — 9:16, 1:1, YouTube long-form, LinkedIn cut. Not one file re-cropped.

/ 06

Release + engagement support

Delivery calendar tied to your content-management workflow. Optional engagement support — first-week paid-boost recommendations, community-management briefs, cross-platform release timing.

BEFORE YOU BRIEF

Branded content questions answered.

What's the difference between branded content and a TVC?

TVC exists to interrupt what the audience is watching; branded content exists to be what the audience is watching. That changes everything — the pacing, the script, the brand visibility rhythm, the platform strategy. TVC lives in ad breaks and pre-roll. Branded content lives in the feed and in scheduled programming. Different craft, different metrics.

How is branded content priced compared to a standard corporate video?

Depends on scope. A single-episode branded editorial piece scoped as a corporate video costs roughly what a standard corporate video costs. A multi-episode branded series with proper editorial development, host casting, and cross-platform delivery costs meaningfully more — and returns meaningfully more (a series of episodes vs one piece). We give a fixed quote at the brief workshop.

Do you write the editorial angle, or do we bring it?

We write it — that's the default. Most in-house marketing teams start writing branded content the same way they write website copy, and it reads as brand-content-with-editorial-costume instead of actual editorial. Our editorial team writes for the platform, the audience, and the format — with your brand goal as the north star, not the first line.

Can you produce for a specific platform's grammar?

Yes. TikTok-native branded shorts read differently from Instagram Reels, which read differently from LinkedIn video, which read differently from YouTube long-form. Each platform gets its own script direction, edit rhythm, and delivery spec — not one file re-cropped for four platforms.

How do you handle regulatory-sensitive sectors (banking, healthcare)?

With editorial that respects the regulation. Compliance-team review built into the editorial workflow — your CFO/compliance officer reviews the script and the final edit, not just the ad copy. Our writers know the SAMA, MoH, and GCAM constraints; the editorial doesn't hit walls late.

Can we run branded content as a monthly programme instead of a one-off?

Yes — that's often the higher-return model. Monthly retainer programmes produce a rolling content calendar (2-4 episodes / month + cutdowns + support content) at a lower per-episode cost than one-off productions. Best fit for brands with a real content-calendar operation, not brands running content ad-hoc.

Do you handle release strategy and platform distribution?

Content distribution is separate from content production — but we brief on it as part of the editorial workshop, and we scope it into the delivery if you want a coordinated release. Cross-platform release timing, first-week paid boost recommendations, and community-management briefs are all available as a bolt-on service.

How does branded content interact with our paid media plan?

Branded content earns its watch on the feed organically, but paid amplification in the first week compounds the reach substantially. We recommend a small paid budget on episode 1 to seed the algorithm; subsequent episodes ride the momentum. Your paid media team stays in the driver's seat for spend allocation; we brief them.

Have a brand goal that needs content? Send the brief.

Tell us the objective, the audience, the platform mix, and the timeline. We come back within one business day with an editorial angle, a scope, and a fixed quote.
